PRICING & ORDERING
- We will build your wood windows and doors custom, so we do not have standard pricing or stocked items except some hardware and trim. We build both wood windows, and wood window screen and storm sash, as well as wood doors, including screen and storm, in any quantity for new projects and renovations. Because we build custom, it makes sense that we can work with pricing (quantity drives down price; we encourage architects and builders to call). We are also very experienced with historic restoration and can match traditional and new profiles. - We stock and build with old growth Western Red Cedar. The tight grain and natural water resistant qualities of this wood (great rot resistance) are the reasons we chose to primarily work with this cedar. We use metal thresholds, or will build hardwood thresholds for your doors.
-- We will build with some other woods depending on the size of the project (ex. fir, mahogany, yellow cedar, and others including "green" lumber)
- Bergerson will only build wood windows and doors with "True Divided Lites" (TDLs), not simulated
- We provide most types of glass (single, insulated, Argon, Low-E, tinted, frosted, tempered, etc). Note: We cannot guarantee Argon glass efficiency
- We have standard window hardware (see windows), and door hardware (see doors) you can choose from. You can choose your own source, and in some cases we will search the market with you to find what you are looking for
- Our products have undergone testing and can withstand hurricane force winds, wind driven rains, and meet UV and R rating requirements
- We've sent products to Hawaii, Florida, and many places North and South of that line, maybe you can visit a site or come visit us if you get a chance
HOW TO REQUEST A BID AND ORDER YOUR WOOD WINDOWS & DOORS
- List quantity and wood window type (casement, awnings, hung, picture, or special including whether they will open out/in, or remain fixed)/door types (french, dutch, patio, interior, exterior, opening out or in)
- We build to your reasonable desired size (hardware, glass type, and other issues may require changing as size increases)
- List the jamb widths and whether you want to add exterior trim
- Type of glass (insure you note those requiring tempering)
- State whether you want them primed for painting or not (all products come with a semi-transparent linseed oil based stain)
- It is best to choose your hardware during the drawing process. We take time and effort to ensure all the particulars are taken care of before we begin cutting wood. You can use the links above to help you choose hardware
- Faxing information is best, or you can e-mail, call in, or mail it to us (contact us). We would like to fax results back to you as it will contain several sheets which require signatures and initials; let us know what is best for you
Notes: orders under $25,000 require 1/2 down before we begin drawings; over $25,000 = 1/3 down, and another 1/3 after your acceptance of final drawings and start of production. Shipping and crating is F.O.B. Hammond, Oregon 97121 (not included)
